Admission to West Bengal State Quota seats in Government Medical Colleges along with State Quota,
Management Quota and NRI Quota seats in Private Medical Colleges regarding different
post-graduate Medical courses (MD/MS Degree, PG Diploma) and DNB courses
(post-MBBS 3 year Degree/Post MBBS 2 year Diploma) in Government Hospitals and institutions are
being conducted by WBMCC on the basis of inter se merit lists of status viz. Un-Reserved (UR),
Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Backward Classes (OBC, OBC-A, OBC-B), Scheduled Caste (SC),
Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Person with Disability (PwD) among the Open Category,
In-Service Category and Other Service Category candidates.
Only the Candidates who qualify for In-service category are eligible for State sponsored DNB (Post MBBS 3 years Degree and Post MBBS 2 years Diploma) Courses.
The aspiring candidates are to appear and qualify in the NEET-PG 2024 examinations
conducted by National Board of Examination (NBE) and fulfill all the eligibility
criteria as set by the counselling authority for participating in West Bengal PG Medical Counselling and Seat Allotment Process 2024.
State Quota seats for Post-Graduate courses in Medical [(MD/MS/Diploma), DNB (post-MBBS 3 year Degree/Post MBBS 2 year Diploma)]
are being allotted through Online Counselling at the State level. Out of which 40% of the State Quota degree seats and 50% of the
State Quota diploma seats in PG-Medical and 100% degree/diploma seats for DNB are reserved for In-service teachers and medical
officers of the Department (WBMES/WBHS/WBPHAS).
